Eligibility: Flying membership is open to pilots holding a Private Pilot certificate or higher (Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII, or ATP). Crossroads Aviators is a flying club, not a flight school — student pilots cannot use the club aircraft for flight training.

Two Ways to Get Involved

Flying Membership or Club Associate

Not every pilot is ready to join as a flying member right away — and you don't have to be a pilot at all to be part of this community.

Flying Membership

Full access to the club aircraft, a vote in club decisions, and everything else on this page below. Requires a Private Pilot certificate or higher.

Club Associate

Open to the general public — no aircraft access or voting rights, but full access to our social events, fly-outs, and educational opportunities. A great way to get to know the club.

What It Costs

Membership Dues & Aircraft Rate

We've kept our cost structure simple: a one-time buy-in, a flat monthly due, and an hourly wet rate when you fly. No hidden fees.

Item Cost Details
Membership Buy-In $1,000 One-time, due at joining. Includes a one-time membership fee plus your first three months of dues.
Monthly Dues $240 / month Covers hangar, insurance, and fixed aircraft costs
Aircraft Rate (Wet) $125 / hour Hobbs time, fuel included. Adjusts periodically with fuel prices.

We're building a founding group of around 10 members. As the club and fleet grow, dues and rates will be reevaluated to keep costs fair for everyone.

How It Works

Getting from application to your first flight

  1. Submit Your Application

Fill out the membership application below with your certificate, ratings, and a bit about your flying background.

  2. Meet the Club

We'll follow up to schedule a call or an in-person meet-up at KHFY so you can meet current members, see the aircraft, and ask questions.

  3. Complete a Checkout

New members complete an aircraft checkout with a club-designated flight instructor to confirm familiarity and proficiency in the Cheetah before flying solo.

  4. Pay Your Buy-In & Start Flying

Once approved and checked out, pay your buy-in, get added to the scheduling system, and you're ready to book your future adventures.

A note on flight training: Crossroads Aviators is a social flying club, not a flight school, and does not advertise or provide flight instruction as a club service. Some members are independently certificated flight instructors; any instruction arranged with them is a private arrangement between members, separate from club operations.
